Join us from 1-5pm as we bring art on the street in front of our studio. We will have a live artist and a very cool photo op! Walk around the city and check out all of the fun paintings and art on display. What is Downtown LIVE ?
Square Peg Events, LLC is partnered up with Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. to bring this fun-filled LIVE ART experience.
Downtown Grand Rapids merchants, restaurants and organizations will be re- creating “scenes” with people posing as characters in a painting, sculpture or vignette for the public to view and enjoy. Some merchants will be putting together displays depicting a painting for the public to “step into” and take their own selfies!
The entire downtown will be ALIVE with ART!
Live painters, performers, human sculptures, musicians and more.
It is an opportunity for the public to come downtown and experience art in a very unique way as ART comes ALIVE!
When: Saturday, May 22, 2021 1 PM to 5 PM
Selfie Spots (Step-in Paintings): 1 PM to 5 PM
Paintings on Parade: 1 PM to 3:00 PM
Live Paintings: 3 PM to 4:30 PM
Live Painters / Musicians: Various locations and times 1 PM - 5 PM
